Back in 2017 I launched my site and with it an introductory blog post, where I asked you guys to “please stay with me in this journey!“. After that I went ahead and pretty much didn’t use the site anymore. Shame on me. I have some website goals for 2019 that I’d like to share with you. I’ve been meaning to do lots of those things since then, but I’ve been a bit busy.

2018 came and went and I didn’t focus on my website (well, not more than moving it to a lifetime hosting, to avoid expenses while I’m not properly monetizing it, that’s it). I focused on working and earning a lot of money to get married and start a new life with my wife (spoiler: it’s the best thing ever!), and spend some time focusing on finally getting my degree (for those who know about LUZ will understand), I also started working on UpWork on top of Fiverr and through my own customers referrals, dabbled briefly in Crypto which wasn’t too fruitful, traveled a couple of times which was great, and developed and strengthened friendships with the best group of friends one could ask for. All in all, it was a good year.

But now it’s time to focus on my own brand again. I’ve been working on lots of sites for customers; from small changes to fully developing or revamping sites, adding new features or fixing bugs, you name it. Meanwhile my two websites have been a bit neglected. This year I want to change that. I’ve had lots of ideas for them, I think it’s a good time to bring them to life, little by little.

2019 website goals

To do that, I’ve come up with a few website goals. I’ll keep track of them here, and see how much I can achieve of them:

• Revamp my entire site with Divi, as I love doing for so many customers. While I like my current site as it is, I think it could be better. There’s always room for improvement. I’ll also try to use more photos taken by me instead of stock photos (hence the featured image of this post).
• Setup multi-lang feature, translate everything into Spanish, and start adding new content in both languages from that point on. I’m a Spanish native speaker, I should honor that somehow -and of course not lose that part of the market; there’s still people out there who doesn’t speak English and could use of my services for all IT things. 🙂
• Develop my 2nd website (The WordPress Hero). I started that one to take advantage of an offer on hosting / domain while still making money, but didn’t actually use it. I shall change that.
• Setup portfolio/testimonials, I’m thinking on using The WP Hero for that matter, and keeping this one mostly for blog and catalogue of IT services. I’ll also be contacting my most loyal customers for their testimonials, and grab some of the best reviews over Fiverr/UpWork.
• Set up my social media channels, this one will be hard, to be honest, I’m not quite a fan of social media, I mostly use Facebook to scroll for random memes to kill time and share some of them. I never liked Instagram. And Twitter, well I gave it a chance when then I got bored of it, I know I didn’t fully appreciate its value.

Some numbers

• Of course, keep on doing what I do best: saving the Internet one site at a time. I’m aiming to develop at least 25 WP Sites (2 per month, and a bonus, mine). I’ll have to come up with some ideas to attract more customers eager to start sites from scratch or fully revamp their sites to accomplish this one. It’ll be fun. Some promotions will be in place.
• And last but not least: use the blog. Trying to keep an online presence, sharing about my goings, about any interesting job I get, or anything I find interesting or valuable sharing. At least 25 blog entries. (2 per month, and a bonus). Hey, we got one already! Kudos to me.
